1000 kVA Dry Type Transformer & ATS Panel for Pharma Cleanroom — Bengaluru
A pharmaceutical manufacturer expanding their cleanroom facility in Bengaluru needed a transformer that could be installed indoors — adjacent to the production floor — without fire risk or oil spillage concerns. An oil-filled unit was rejected outright by their GMP compliance team.
The Challenge
Pharmaceutical cleanrooms operate under strict GMP guidelines that prohibit flammable oils near production areas. The client needed a transformer rated 1000 kVA that could be installed inside the building, with an automatic transfer switch panel to provide sub-second changeover between mains and DG supply — any extended power interruption would trigger a batch rejection event worth several lakhs.
The Actaan Solution
Actaan Electric supplied a 1000 kVA cast resin dry type transformer with IP23 enclosure, Class F insulation, and integrated temperature monitoring relay. Paired with a motorised automatic transfer switch (ATS) panel with closed-transition transfer capability, the system achieved sub-8-second changeover. All equipment was pre-FAT tested at our Bengaluru facility before installation.
