Turnkey Electrical Project — 500-Bed Hospital Expansion, Hyderabad
A 500-bed hospital in Hyderabad was adding a new surgical and ICU block. The project required a complete electrical installation — from HT incomer to critical circuit distribution — to be commissioned before the block opening, with a hard 6-week deadline.
The Challenge
Hospital electrical infrastructure is among the most demanding in the industry — it must meet NABH standards, pass CEIG inspection, provide sub-second critical power transfer, and deliver zero-downtime operation from day one. Coordinating multiple vendors (transformer, panels, DG, cables, earthing) within a 6-week construction window, with no room for schedule slip, required a single-vendor approach.
The Actaan Solution
Actaan Electric executed the project on a complete turnkey basis: SLD design and load scheduling, supply of a 500 kVA distribution transformer, 11kV VCB incomer panel, LT MDB with critical/essential/normal circuit segregation, 250 kVA DG set with AMF panel for sub-10-second changeover, HT/LT cable laying and termination, earthing system, and CEIG inspection coordination. The block was energised and handed over on day 38.
